OVERVIEW

Established in 2009, Porter Law Firm provides a full range of legal services for everything from business, real estate, corporate development, litigation, to tax and estate planning. While we bring incredible depth and breadth of experience representing our clients and their legal matters, our passion is our ability to offer our clients not just legal representation, but a strategic partner committed to understanding their needs and safeguarding their assets. This is why so many of our clients return to us —they understand the benefit of a personalized, hands-on approach to representation.

THE POSITION

Porter Law Firm currently seeks a commercial litigation attorney with more than three years of experience in commercial litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation issues (trial experience is a plus). Candidates must possess excellent credentials and strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills, along with being comfortable making oral arguments, taking depositions, and conferring with clients. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who also works well in a team environment.

  • Working closely with other attorneys and staff on assigned legal projects
  • Regularly handling court appearances and depositions
  • Handling mediations
  • Written and verbal communications with clients
  • Conducting research, investigating facts, and developing legal arguments from a variety of sources

REQUIRED QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
  • 3+ years of commercial litigation experience
  • Trial experience required, first-chair trial experience strongly preferred
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
