Job Overview

As a Sr Managing Partner, Strategic Sales at T-Mobile, you will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction and performance of your sales team, ensuring alignment with T-Mobile's broader business objectives. This manager-level position requires a dynamic leader who can mentor and develop sales professionals, set performance metrics, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

A primary focus of this role will be collaborating with the largest companies in the United States to achieve successful joint business outcomes. You will engage with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to foster strong relationships and ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives. Leveraging your extensive business development experience, proven success in managing large-scale projects, and deep industry expertise, you will drive growth and innovation.

By analyzing market trends and customer needs, you will guide your team in crafting compelling value propositions and innovative solutions that address complex business challenges, becoming a trusted advisor and highlighting the value of T-Mobile's capabilities to secure new business. Demonstrating thought leadership on industry trends and the ability to identify potential technology partners is vital in this role. Strategic and analytical thinking about business, product, and technical challenges are necessary to help you create and communicate compelling value propositions.

By ensuring that your team delivers exceptional results and meets performance metrics, you will foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead sales strategy within your geography, set quotas, and allocate resources to ensure revenue targets are met. Manage a team of AE, CRMA and Principal Client Partner Executives, including hiring, training, and developing staff. Develop a strong sub-culture of executives with a focus on customer relationship building. Run team meetings and hold the sales team accountable for results.
  • Customer Understanding: Build customer relationships where T-Mobile can impact, enhance, and optimize the customer's business activities and results. Assign priorities to business opportunities and create account plans and sales strategies with funnel forecast and revenue growth accuracy.
  • Relationship Building: Expand the market position for Strategic Named Accounts and MNCs, especially in the United States. Use a consultative strategic approach to successfully position new solutions and concepts to drive new business. Lead and manage relationships with other partners and stakeholders for solid results in sales execution, progressing contracts, and advancing business forward.
  • Account Strategy: Meet long-term account needs by leading and managing entire sales cycles to implement sales strategies. This includes identifying key decision-makers, understanding their business challenges, and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs. Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
  • Corporate Navigation and Presentation Skills: Navigate large corporate cultures, engaging effectively with CEOs, COOs, and other senior executives. Deliver compelling presentations that resonate with both boardroom settings and large audiences, showcasing T-Mobile's value propositions and strategic vision.


Education and Work Experience :

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Sales, etc. (Required)
  • More than 10 years Business Sales Experience: Proven track record of successful sales into the Oil & Gas Vertical within the Fortune 500 segment. Required
  • 7-10 years Wireless Industry Experience: Extensive knowledge and experience in the wireless industry. Required
  • 4-7 years People Management in Sales Environment: Demonstrated experience in managing sales teams, including hiring, training, and developing staff. Required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coach and develop AE, CRMA and Principle Client Partner Executives in sales strategy and business relationship development, creating a collaborative team that aspires to exceed current metrics. Proven ability to execute leadership strategies effectively. (Required)
  • Sales Growth: Proven track record of creating opportunities for new sales while continuously reviewing account strategies for existing accounts to maintain long-term needs. Experience leading daily customer interaction efforts to create new opportunities for sales and relationship growth within the team’s account deck. Ability to meet or exceed sales targets with assigned strategic accounts, selling solutions and services. (Required)
  • Collaboration: Experience coordinating work for strategic accounts with the Innovation team and Analytics team to ensure cohesive strategy and execution. Ability to effectively collaborate and execute cross-functional initiatives. (Required)
  • Business Planning: Demonstrated contribution to account planning and execution efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives. Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive business plans. (Required)
  • Business Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure high satisfaction and increased revenues. Experience identifying, developing, and closing new sales opportunities. (Required)
  • Product Knowledge: Expertise in serving as the primary interface for all products and services, creating demand by raising their profile with customers. (Required)
  • Negotiation: Demonstrated confidence in handling sales negotiations with prospects and existing clients to secure favorable terms and close deals. Proven ability to execute negotiation strategies effectively. (Required)
  • Corporate Navigation and Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to navigate large corporate cultures, engaging effectively with CEOs, COOs, and other senior executives. Proven skill in delivering compelling presentations both in person and virtually, with professional confidence and deep knowledge. (Required)
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the wireless industry and its trends, with the ability to leverage this knowledge to drive strategic initiatives and business growth. (Required)

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $168,700 - $304,300, inclusive of target incentives. Base Pay Range: $118,090 - $213,010. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
