The SEO Team Lead plays a critical role in driving the success of our SEO initiatives by developing and executing comprehensive SEO strategies for assigned projects or websites. This role involves overseeing a team of SEO Specialists, ensuring that tactical tasks align with strategic goals, and contributing to the growth and visibility of our digital presence. The SEO Strategist Team Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including content, product, and development, to optimize website performance and increase organic traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to refine SEO tactics.
Identify and capitalize on new opportunities to enhance organic visibility and stay ahead of industry trends.
5+ years of SEO experience , including 2+ years in leadership roles managing strategy and team performance.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
At least 2 years of experience independently managing SEO strategy in an in-house or agency setting.
Expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and link-building strategies.
Proficiency with industry tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
Strong ability to align SEO strategies with broader marketing initiatives and advocate for SEO priorities.
Proven experience collaborating with engineering, product, CRO, content, and development teams.
Expertise in tracking and optimizing organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and ROI.
Experience diagnosing and resolving technical site issues (e.g., crawl errors, redirects, duplication, site speed).
Familiarity with website platforms and CMS (e.g., WordPress), JS-based frameworks (Gatsby, Next.js, Astro), and basic technical knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
