Position Overview:

Leading Property Management company is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Remote Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing . The is a dynamic and strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth, maximize occupancy and retention, and strengthen the company's brand presence in the industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and creating strategies to increase revenue and market share. This role requires a hands-on professional who can develop strategy and lead a team while also engaging directly with prospective clients and partners. This is a fully remote position with travel up to 25% of the time.

Job Summary

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Sales & Marketing will lead strategic initiatives that drive lead generation, increase occupancy, and maximize closed transactions , particularly for the single-family rental (SFR) market. This role blends high-level strategy with tactical execution and requires a results-driven leader who thrives in a data-centric, performance-focused environment. You will lead a national team and own the full lifecycle of marketing and sales pipeline development, reporting directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a national sales growth strategy targeting retail owners, institutional clients, and SFR/BTR portfolios.
  • Increase qualified lead volume by 30% year-over-year through a combination of inbound and outbound strategies.
  • Drive an increase in monthly new client acquisitions (signed PMAs) by 25% YOY , with a focus on single-family property owners.
  • Build and manage a national referral partner network with a goal of delivering at least 15% of new leads from partners.
  • Ensure the sales team achieves a lead-to-close conversion rate of 20% or higher .

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement multi-channel lead generation campaigns (SEO/SEM, paid social, display, email, retargeting).
    • Goal: Deliver 1,000+ marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) per month .
  • Optimize the website and landing pages to achieve a conversion rate of at least 5% on traffic from paid campaigns.
  • Increase organic traffic by 20% YOY through content strategy, blog development, and localized SEO.
  • Lead the development of campaigns tailored to single-family rental investors , ensuring messaging aligns with owner pain points and HRG's unique value proposition.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own and report on pipeline KPIs : lead volume, MQL to SQL conversion, close rate, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Maintain a dashboard with real-time visibility into lead flow, sales performance, and regional market trends.
  • Benchmark performance against industry standards and optimize campaigns to achieve a minimum 4:1 ROI on marketing spend.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Manage a multi-million dollar marketing and sales budget , allocating spend based on lead source performance.
  • Select and manage vendors, agencies, and contractors with a focus on cost per lead (CPL) under $75 and customer acquisition cost under $300 .

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a national sales and marketing team , including inside sales, digital marketing, and field representatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, with a focus on sales performance metrics and campaign ROI .
  • Implement a training and development program to improve sales skills and increase individual quota attainment by 15% YOY .

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Real Estate, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of sales/marketing leadership experience, with at least 3 years in property management or real estate.
  • Proven ability to generate scalable lead flow , build high-converting funnels, and close new accounts consistently .
  • Expertise in CRM and marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Looker), and property management systems (e.g., Yardi, Propertyware, AppFolio).
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage national campaigns while collaborating across cross-functional departments.

Performance Metrics & KPIs

  • 30% YOY increase in qualified leads
  • 25% YOY increase in transactions closed (new property management agreements)
  • 20% YOY organic traffic growth
  • >20% lead-to-close conversion rate
  • CPL under $75 ; CAC under $300
