Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Consultant

Location: Hanover, Maryland

Contract Duration: 3 months

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Consultant to join our client's team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale ADM (Application Development & Maintenance) engagement for a leading staffing company in the USA. You will leverage your expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud, with a specific focus on supporting US Cloud Payroll processes.

About the Role

You will be an integral part of a team supporting a complex Oracle Fusion landscape that includes Oracle Cloud HCM, Finance, and PPM modules. This environment features over 100 integrations and sophisticated PaaS extensions. You will work directly with business users and IT experts to ensure the smooth operation of the system and drive continuous improvements. This role offers the chance to apply your expertise to enhance business and IT processes, identify pain points, and propose innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the seamless functioning of the Oracle Fusion application, particularly for Hire-to-Retire and Total Rewards business processes.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify inefficient or cumbersome processes and provide strategic solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues for business users related to both custom and delivered functionalities.
• Advise on the business impacts of new features released through Oracle's quarterly patching.
• Provide robust production support, addressing HCM and Payroll-related issues and process flaws promptly.
• Act as a liaison with Oracle to resolve issues with the vanilla solution.
• Proactively identify and drive opportunities for efficiency gains.

Required Skills and Experience

• 12-14 years of experience supporting Oracle HCM Cloud, with a mandatory specialization in US Cloud Payroll .
• Demonstrated experience leading business process workshops and advising clients on the adoption of the Oracle Cloud Payroll solution.
• Proficiency in PaaS components and their integration with the Oracle Fusion HCM Suite.
• Experience integrating Payroll with other modules such as Absence, OTL (Oracle Time and Labor), Benefits , and Oracle ERP Cloud (General Ledger and PPM).
• A strong understanding of Fast Formulas is essential, with the ability to effectively communicate technical details to development teams.
• Familiarity with various HR disciplines, including HRIS (HR Job Management, Org Management, Master Data), Talent Acquisition, Talent Development (Learning and Performance Management), Onboarding, Engagement, and HR Operations.
• Experience providing support during key testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Payroll Parallel Testing, and Post Go-Live support.
• Proven ability to conduct Train the Trainer sessions and develop functional user guides for ESS (Employee Self-Service), MSS (Manager Self-Service), and Admin users.
• Experience working effectively within an Onshore/Offshore delivery model .
• A good understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA) frameworks.
