Our Accounting Team is seeking an  Oil & Gas Accounting Specialis t in our  Omaha office who will be responsible for client reporting, opening and closing of accounts and statement processing. If you enjoy working with numbers, as well as verifying and processing information - apply today!

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains the integrity of property information for special reporting and billing
  • Opens new accounts and closes accounts
  • Processes month end and year end statements
  • Liaison with IT for E1 (JD Edwards) report and statement meetings
  • Processes all PV’s for the department
  • Performs additional duties as assigned and required by management.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Accounting and/or Related Fields
    1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency and 4 years work experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree and 2 years work experience 
  • 2+ years accounting experience, oil and gas accounting preferred 
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry terminology preferred
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. 

  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
