Job Description CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead Technical Artist to join our studio in Boston to work on Cyberpunk 2, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077. Your unique skillset & background will help shape our future workflows. There will be space to embrace your passion, share knowledge, and inspire others too. Daily Responsibilities Lead the development of technical art initiatives. Collaborate closely with artists and engineers to create optimized, high-quality visual assets, tools, and pipeline solutions. Address and solve complex technical art challenges. Define and document technical art processes, tools, and best practices. Maintain the content creation pipeline. Coordinate and communicate with other teams to achieve shared goals. Inspire and mentor the Technical Art team, fostering an environment of creativity, trust, and excellence. Cultivate the team culture in alignment with the company's values and goals. Disseminate and escalate information as needed. Participate in employment decision-making processes. Qualifications Strong artistic sensibility, especially in urban and architectural aesthetics. At least 8 years of experience as a Technical Artist, including team leadership experience. Proficiency in creating shaders for urban environments, with a solid understanding of urban material properties. Portfolio demonstrating expertise in procedural urban generation and relevant shaders. Experience with tools such as Houdini, World Machine, and Substance Designer, particularly in cityscape and terrain generation. Knowledge of UE4/UE5 and blueprints. Outstanding creativity and strong project commitment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude towards feedback and knowledge sharing. Nice to Have (Note: These skills are not mandatory for application) Scripting skills in languages like Python or VEX relevant to procedural generation. Experience with urban planning or architectural principles. Additional Information This position is based in Boston, US, with hybrid or full-time in-office work modes.
