Job Title: Credentialing Specialist
Location: Onsite – Morristown, NJ 07960
Duration: 3-month W2 contract (with high potential for extension based on performance and business needs)
Job Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the credentialing process for physicians and allied health professionals. This includes verifying credentials, maintaining databases, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process credentialing and reappointment applications (approx. 125–200 quarterly).
· Maintain accurate provider data in Echo, including education, licensure, and experience.
· Prepare materials for Credentials Committee, MEC, and Board of Trustees meetings.
· Monitor license and certification expirations and notify staff of renewals.
· Schedule and occasionally attend site-based medical staff department meetings; take meeting minutes.
· Maintain confidentiality of provider information at all times.
· Enforce regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards.
· Collect and process provider dues.
