Meet the Team

The Regulatory Affairs team within Cisco’s Legal department comprises lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and experts focusing on privacy, global trade, cybersecurity, telecom, environmental sustainability, and regulatory areas. The team influences, interprets, and implements regulations impacting Cisco and collaborates with external partners. You will work with the Accessibility Office, engineering teams, and other key collaborators to ensure compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment.

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to advise on compliance with digital accessibility laws and regulations, supporting Cisco’s commitment to inclusive experiences.

Your Impact

• Leading efforts on compliance with global digital accessibility laws and standards.
• Developing policies and guidelines to evaluate the accessibility of Cisco’s products and services.
• Providing legal support on accessibility issues across various business units.
• Raising awareness and understanding of disabilities and accessibility in technology through updates and training.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to integrate accessibility standards into design and development.
• Responding to accessibility regulators and working with Cisco’s Government Affairs team to shape regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, licensed in good standing, with 5+ years of relevant accessibility legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of digital accessibility laws, standards (WCAG, EN 301 549, Section 508), and international regulations.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on compliance strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large technology or telecommunications companies.
• Experience advising B2B technology companies or online platforms.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies like the FCC or global regulators.
