Job Description: Business Systems Analyst Advanced Employer: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Location: 600 E Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48226 Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday Responsibilities: Develop automation/data-driven solutions for Actuarial business processes. Prepare comprehensive documentation of these solutions. Present solutions to Actuarial business partners. Support training needs as teams take ownership of automation solutions. Create technical design specifications and assist in sizing technical requirements. Develop educational materials on query writing and data tool use tailored for Actuarial analysts. Evaluate existing applications and platforms, providing recommendations for performance improvements through gap analysis and alternative solutions. Learn about Actuarial business processes and advocate for their data needs. Proactively identify new data sources or tools to enhance Actuarial business processes. This role is hybrid, within commuting distance of Detroit, MI. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus two (2) years of relevant experience, OR Four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Experience in the following areas is also required: Software Development Intern, Business Systems Analyst, or related roles for at least 2 years.
