Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Material Handler/Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for packaging orders accurately and ensuring timely deliveries to our customers. This role requires proficiency in basic math, computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and the ability to drive a box truck.

Responsibilities

• Package orders according to customer specifications.
• Utilize order forms to retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
• Use a scale for accurate measurement and weight verification.
• Drive a box truck for 10-15 hours per week to deliver products to customers.
• Maintain excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and sealed.
• Conduct inventory checks and update stock records as needed.
• Operate power equipment for order picking from assigned locations.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in basic math and computer skills.
• At least 6 months of experience in shipping and inventory management.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience is advantageous but not required.
• Reliable, dependable, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
• Great attendance in previous positions.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large, clean warehouse with a focus on efficiency and task completion. Employees will need to stand throughout their shifts and should be comfortable working in a setting with limited windows. The warehouse can become warm during the summer months. Team members will work individually on tasks while contributing collectively to the daily operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berlin, Connecticut

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
